Rodney S. Parker age 85 of Lithopolis, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022. He was born June 17, 1937, in Olean, NY.  Preceded in death by parents, Steve Parker and Lula Mae Manning, stepfather Paul Manning, and brother Fred Parker.  Survived by wife Doris Parker, sister Betty Gaston, son John (Kathy) Parker, grandchildren Brad (Liza) Parker, Laura (Derrick) Fleming, great-grandchildren, Oliver and Sebastian Parker, Brianna and Ramona Hunter Fleming.  At 18 he joined the Air Force.  He was stationed in Ramstein Germany, Oklahoma, Hawaii, Wake Island, and retired out of Lockbourne AFB. After that he worked for the Post Office until he could retire.  He loved country & western music, Drum Corp, Line dancing, riding his motorcycle and his souped-up golf cart.  He started the Senior Citizens Group for Fellowship Baptist Church.  He was also very involved in the missionary field. He went to Haiti several times.  He helped build an orphanage.   He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus, where he was head of the Drum Corp.  They won top Corp and other rewards.  He was crazy about his kids and grandkids.  He spent every minute he could with his grandkids.  He loved to spoil his grandkids.  He was the BEST Grandpa ever.  He was also a great grandpa to 5 kids; who were all crazy about him too.  The funeral service will be held Thursday, July 14, 2022, 12:00 Noon at Fellowship Baptist Church 4701 Winchester Pike where friends may call from 10:00 am until the time of service.  Pastor Tony Luizzo officiating.
