Rose Marie
Ellen Mossman
May 18, 1936 — Jun 25, 2024
Columbus
Rose Marie Mossman 88, passed away on June 25, 2024, only 8 short days after her husband of 70 years, George, walked through the gates of Heaven to join their daughter, Bonniejean. Survived by her loving children, Georgeanna Rivera (Leo), Kevin Mossman (Chris), Katrina Mossman, Shaun Mossman (Jude), Angela Rivera-Nieves and Sherry Boso; son-in-law Tom Crist. She also leaves her adoring 11 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Rose Marie was a devoted loving mother who was guided by her faith. She started every day by reading her daily devotion. Her family was her purpose and passion. She Loved watching them grow. Mom showed all what Love, commitment, family and marriage looked like. She taught her children how to create the foundations of healthy, happy and enduring relationships. Her life was an example to her children and so many more. She was a good listener and a great friend.
Mom loved spending time with family and friends. Often times hosting family events, wedding showers, baby showers and legendary card parties. An avid Ohio State Buckeye Fan, she loved attending family tailgate parties. She enjoyed countless decades working on her crafts (ceramics, sewing, embroidering, cooking and crocheting). Her legacy has been passed on to her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and even her care givers.
She was generous beyond measure. In addition to her financial donations she spent endless hours, over the years, donating handmade baby blankets to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and countless lap blankets for memory care patients.
We all thank you for your love, compassion and lifelong lessons.
