Ruth Barnette Brown age 95, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away at Good Shepherd Hospice Center on September 8, 2022. She was born on December 17, 1926, in Stone Gap, Wise County, Virginia to the late Isaac and Nannie Barnette.  She is survived by her loving daughter Glenda (Edward) Schneider, brother Bobby (Dora) Barnette; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by the two loves of her life, Paul Brown and Doyle "Tipp" Tipton; brothers, Clint, Donald, Charles, George and Ralph; sisters, Mildred and Wilma.  Friends may call Thursday, September 15, 2022, 5-7 PM EVANS FUNERAL HOME 4171 E.
