Sandra C. Sweeney 74, of Columbus, died on April 29,2021. Born in Akron, Ohio February 11, 1947. Preceded in death by parents Martin J (Bud) and Winifred M Sweeney, and sister Sharon Sweeney. Survived by sister Pat Robbins Sweeney of Austin, daughters Traci Colleen Lunsford (Edwin Stocker) of Denver and Renee Harmon (Michael) of Columbus, grandsons Keegan and Aidan Stocker, Patrick and Shawn (Kendra) Harmon and great- grandson Liam Harmon.

She received her Bachelors, 1984 and Masters, 1986 Degrees from The University of Akron. While working full time and raising 2 daughters. She worked as a Professional Counselor for 20 years and specialized in grief and women's issues. She volunteered and served as a National Trainer for AARP for 13 years and received The President's Volunteer Action Award Citation in 1993 from Bill Clinton for her work with Widowed Person's Services, AARP. In 2001 she excepted a volunteer position to provide counseling services for those effected by 9/11.

She requested a life celebration with her favorite music and happy memories. Family will except guests during her life celebration at the home of her daughter on Thursday May 6 from 5-7. 6193 Cherry Hill Dr. Columbus. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Fairfield County Children's Services.
