Shirley Ann Gibson, age 92, of Columbus/Zanesville, peacefully passed away on June 28, 2025, at Paramount Assisted Living (memory care). A graduate of Central High School, Shirley dedicated most of her career as a secretary for the Ohio PTA in Columbus before retiring to Zanesville. She had a passion for flowers and found great joy in her garden, where her colorful flower beds left a lasting impression outside her home.

She is survived by her children Gregory (Donna) Gibson, Lorna (David) Kline, Eric (Marianne) Gibson, numerous grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and husband of 64 years, Robert Burton Gibson, her parents James Forrest Way and Katherine Louise Way, sisters Delores "Tiny" Way, Linda Schall, and brother James Robert Way.

Friends may pay their respects on Thursday, July 10th from 10 am to noon, with a service following at noon at Evans Funeral Home, 4171 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43227. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Nationwide Children's Hospital.
