Susan Martin Burbacher, 75, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2024.

Susan was born on April 29, 1949, in Columbus, Ohio, to John (Elwin) Martin and Isabel "Harriette" Martin. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her brother, Charles Martin, and her aunts who raised her, Alice Crain (Martin) and Virginia Ford (Martin).

Susan is survived by her brother Terry Martin, her sons John, Aaron, and Tom Burbacher, her former husband Brad Burbacher, and her grandchildren Andrew (Drew) Burbacher, Dylan Burbacher, Logan Burbacher, Travis Burbacher, and Meridian Burbacher.

Susan was a graduate of Brookhaven High School, class of 1967, and also studied at The Ohio State University where she graduated with a teaching degree in Russian and English and taught both subjects at Northland High School.  She had successful careers at Evans Adhesive, Gibson-Homan, and Target, where she was highly respected by her colleagues.

In her free time, Susan enjoyed providing for her children, nature and birdwatching, as well as taking trips to Myrtle Beach, where she found peace and relaxation.

Susan will be fondly remembered by all who knew her for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed.

The family is having a private service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Kidney Foundation in Susan's memory.
