Susan "Suzi" Lynne Ries, age 80, passed peacefully on January 26 ^th , 2023. Born July 8, 1942, to the late Robert T. and Grace Pope. Suzi was a funny, witty, loving and devoted wife and mother of four children. She raised her children just like Dorothy Law Nolte's poem "Children Learn What They Live" (https://youtu.be/yMODF901XvU) fostering humor, love, and creativity. She was married to her late husband, Edward Gerald (Jerry) Ries for 57 years. Suzi and Jerry started their own automotive business in their garage until it was moved and named Steer & Gear which continues to this day. She graduated in 1960 from Whitehall Yearling High School. Suzi is survived by her children, Linda (Carmen) Clites, Jane Ries, James "Jim" Ries, Patricia (Trevel Balser); grandchildren, Craig, Chad, Blaine, Vance, Viky, Jose, Angelina, and Maya;  sister, Sandra "Sunny" Schenz; brothers, Richard (Cheryl) and Bobby Who. Suzi is greatly loved by nieces and nephews: Carol (late) and Rob Pasqual, Rob and Kim Schenz, Steve and Lori Pope and Cathy Pope; long-time friends Pete (late) and Nancy Knoll as well as dear friend and care giver Brittany.
