Terry E. Hoar, 84, of Whitehall, Ohio, died on May 2, 2022. He was born to John F. Hoar and Martha M. Henry in Mount Vernon, Ohio on September 22, 1937. He is survived by his wife, Leora, his brother John R. Hoar, 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many more extended family and friends. Terry is preceded in death by his sons, Randall Sr. (Colleen) and Donald, and his parents John and Martha. Terry proudly served his country in the National Guard and Air Force. He retired from the Columbus Police department after 33 years and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people. Upon retiring, he enjoyed travelling with his wife and spent time focused on his love of woodworking. He passed in peace in the morning, comforted by family, after a week-long battle with pneumonia.
