Thomas Leo Thum age 86 passed away Saturday, May 4, 2024.  Retired after 42 years of service with USPS.  Member of Whitehall Post #8794 VFW, Gahanna Moose Lodge #2463, 4 S Club.  Graduated from St. Mary's Catholic High School class of 1955. He was an avid golfer and gardener. A legend was lost that day. Dad decided he missed mom enough and that he joined her. He never met a stranger and always had a joke to tell.  He had a huge heart and was always willing to help people out. He will be greatly missed by so many. We love and miss you dad. Special thanks to the caregivers at Violet Springs. Preceded in death by wife, Karen Thum, daughter Joanne Thum, son Joe Bright, parents Leo and Margaret Thum, 2 brothers and 1 sister.  Survived by children, Theresa Thum, Joseph Thum, Michael Thum, Debra Thum; grandchildren, Logan, Autym, Ayden, and several other grandchildren.  Funeral service Thursday, May 9, 2024, 1:00 PM EVANS FUNERAL HOME 4171 E. Livingston Ave. where friends may call from 11:00 AM until time of service.  Pastor Toby Cambron officiating.
