Wilma June (Lacey) Brehm age 92, passed away on Sunday November 19th during recovery from surgery. Born June 15th, 1931, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Carl and Orpha May (Clark) Lacey, she was a graduate of West High School. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold (Hal) Brehm, sisters Pauline Ebert and Dolores Barr Denny, Brothers in law Gerald Ebert, Fred Barr, Darius Denny and Warren Hayes, Sister-in-law Phyllis Brehm and Daniel Connell.
Wilma is survived by daughter Lori Ann (Jon-Scott Allen), Grandchildren Jarad (Dominique) Tharp, Holly Ann (Matthew) Scott and Jason (Taylor) Tharp. Great Grandchildren Maliya, Arionna and Camerin Tharp, Ashton, Cali June and Aubrey Connell, Emma and Ava Tharp, Chloe and Maddee Scott, Sister-in-law Hazel (Brehm) Hayes and many loving nieces and nephews.
Wilma is a member of Unity Presbyterian Church in Reynoldsburg, a Charter member of Shady Lane Presbyterian church and served as an Elder of Shady Lane and Covenant Parish churches. A Homemaker for several years, she also worked in sales and retired from Sears Roebuck & Co. She was a Franklin County Board of Elections poll worker for many, many years.
Wilma loved to ballroom dance and play cards for hours with her family. She was blessed with a friendship of over seventy-five years with Jo Speakman, making many memories and sharing much laughter. Wilma was part of a breakfast group at Tee Jaye's Country Place in Whitehall with many lifelong friends. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was recently blessed by being able to hold her newest great granddaughter Ava.
Her family is thankful for her many friends who continued to bring joy into her life until her passing. A special thank you to Vernon Feen and his daughter Sandy Feen for the many adventures and loving support they so thoughtfully shared with her. Thank you to Care 360 Hospice and to the wonderful caregivers of Ashford of Grove City.
